Hi, I'm Luca. I built VisaRoute to make the WHV path clearer.

I am 21 years old, from Brescia in Italy, and I arrived in Brisbane on 13 March 2026 with my first Working Holiday Visa 417.

Why I started VisaRoute

When you arrive in Australia as a backpacker, everything moves fast: jobs, postcodes, accommodation, transport, payslips, visa rules and advice from people you barely know. It can be exciting, but also confusing.

I created VisaRoute because I wanted a simpler way to understand where work may count, what questions to ask and how to avoid mistakes before moving across the country for a job.

What I want this project to become

VisaRoute is not just a map. The goal is to build a practical guide, decision assistant and community tool for backpackers trying to complete their 88 or 179 days with more confidence.

Built for backpackers, not lawyers

The language is intentionally simple. VisaRoute points users toward official sources, but explains things in a way international travellers can actually understand.

The mission

Help backpackers save time, avoid confusion and make better decisions before accepting regional work.
